I’ve used both a Yakima roof bag and a Thule roof box. The bag was super easy to store when not in use, but I found it didn’t protect my stuff from rain as well as the box did. Just something to think about!

Great insights! It’s true that roof bags can be more compact to store, but they definitely have their limitations in terms of weather protection. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

I recently took a road trip with a Thule Motion XT roof box and it was a game changer! So much space for my gear without sacrificing interior room. Highly recommend if you’re traveling with family!

I went on a camping trip with a Thule Force XT roof box and it held all our gear perfectly! No leaks and super easy to access. Worth every penny!

That sounds like an awesome trip! Thule really does make some reliable products. Glad to hear it worked out so well for you!

One pain point I had with my roof bag was the installation. It took me forever to figure out how to secure it properly. If you’re going for a bag, I suggest practicing at home first!

Totally get that! Installation can be a hassle, especially with roof bags. Testing it out at home is a smart move. Thanks for the tip!
